Gawain the False Knight

By God!

That is a most terrible and unflattering portraiture of my self! What has happened to my beard! I look like a child! Portrayed with no beard, and cast somewhat dimly too. And this title is wholly misleading, for no false Knight am I! The implication is nothing short of an insult, and if I could find the mongrel spreading such falsehoods about me I would cleave him succinctly in two!

But worse! How was I taken so easily, and manipulated by the lies and petty peeves of young girls, a foolish plaything on a horse. At least I maintained my honor, did as I had to do, and honored the wishes of the young lady who supplicated herself to me. For what good is a Knight of the Round Table if he is unwilling to defend maidens.

It was unfortunate my circumstances though, or else I would have fought most boldly in that tournament, such a display of strength and skill they would have never seen. For no quest am I unwilling to embark upon, no challenge will I refuse!

And I will do it with better hair than this cad portraying me!

Harumph.

Hark! The mighty Sir Gawain, depicted at last as he truly is! What wonderful, kindred spirit could have delved beneath the suffocating layers of lies that are your trademark to expose your true self? I must congratulate him! Never was there a more false knight then you, sir. It is with greatest glee and, dare I say, a small bowl of vindictive stew that I take great pleasure in pledging the sword of Sir Gromer Somer to this nameless artist who has given my some small ounce of vengeance.

It pleases me greatly to see Gawain so adamant on fighting for that young maiden. What an honorable, courteous and worthy knight of King Arthur's court! Witnessing this has proven my beliefs toward Gawain's abilities, as I foresaw his strength and loyalty to chivalric ways. This young maiden has been lucky to encounter such a wonderful knight, as he is the depiction of King Arthur's courteous ways! Gawain's chivalric ways have touched the heart of his queen, as I am truly happy to see him fight for a lady so gallantly. I feel assured of my safety as his queen, for he is strong and willing to bring honor to Arthur's court through battle and good deeds.
